Broadleaf Lodge sits on 3 acres of grounds within an active rural environment. A spacious individually designed house comfortably sleeps 6 adults, 2 children and welcomes 2 dogs. A homely and hospitable holiday venue built in 2003, is the perfect property for multi generational families, couples and friends with pets wanting a staycation or workation in Lincolnshire.
The 250 acres of ancient Broadleaf woodland of The Old Wood is a 10 minute walk. Experience this beautiful woodland, brimming with an abundance of nature and trails, perfect for walking and cycling any time of year.
The busy village of Skellingthorpe is a 1 mile drive with its 2 pubs, shops and takeaway. The City of Lincoln is a 20 minute drive with its iconic Cathedral and Castle, shops, bars and restaurants. There truly is something for everyone.
Broadleaf Lodge has been refurbished recently to the highest of standards. The Master bedroom is a massive family room with a Kingsize bed and Day Trundle bed which can be made up as 2 full size single beds with an en suite. There is a pretty window seat which overlooks our front paddock and driveway.
The rear and front bedrooms have a Zip and Link Super Kingsize bed which can be twin beds on request, creating a bespoke sleeping experience. The luxury family bathroom has a free standing slipper bath and large walk-in shower.
The covered balcony with bistro set overlooking the front paddock is an ideal spot for bird watching in the day or watching the bats at dusk, completing the upstairs.
Downstairs there is masses of living space, a fully appointed kitchen with seating for 8, separate drinks fridge in the kitchen and larger fridge freezer for bigger gatherings. The downstairs toilet is a handy amenity, conveniently situated.
A lounge with two great big comfy leather sofas, Smart TV and a log burner with complimentary chopped wood from your log store in the garden.
The Snug, an additional sitting room with 2 leather sofa’s and Smart TV. The patio doors lead out to the rear garden which is fully enclosed with mature planting, patio and furniture. Overlooking a wildlife pond in the rear paddock (access secured by wire and post and rail fencing). A recent project which commenced Christmas 2024.
There’s plenty of books, games and children’s toys to keep the little ones entertained.
The conservatory has super views over the front paddock and is fantastic for relaxing on the reclining sofa whilst watching the others play with the outdoor games. Games include Badminton, swing ball, croquet and football or playing frisbee with the dog, there's plenty of space. Adjacent to the conservatory, there is another patio with teak garden furniture to seat 8 and a Webber BBQ.
A month before your stay you will receive via email your Touch Stay digital welcome folder. This details all the features of the house and what is supplied and important information on check in, including WIFI codes etc. Also the surrounding area, where the nearest shop is or the local park and ride, places of interest and restaurants. Save this to your phone for an instant reference guide.

“Broadleaf lodge started out as a dream for a 16 year old teenager who realized her dream some years later when she purchased the land and dilapidated bungalow which was demolished and the site cleared before building this fabulous family home. No expense spared on the quality of fixtures fittings which have stood the test of time since the house was available to hire from 2015.
The guest book bears testament to the pleasure the house has given many families from all over Europe for reunions and even weddings. Although only 4 miles from Lincoln and the cathedral being visible from the house it is in a rural setting which feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city.
The quality of this accommodation will satisfy the most discerning visitor and my wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this property, Jane and Ben are on hand to assist with any queries and are meticulous in the preparations and appear to have thought of everything you may need for your stay.

“We had a great week at Broadleaf Lodge. The property is very spacious with good seating areas, both inside and out in the garden. Our grandchildren loved having the space to run around outside and enjoyed the games left out for them.
Lincoln is an easy drive from the property with its beautiful cathedral and castle overlooking the city. International Bomber Command is an interesting place to visit too. We would certainly recommend this property.

Jane provides very comprehensive information about the property and area and was always available for any queries. Lincoln city centre and retail parks are only a short drive away.
